What’s Next!
Thank you for giving KSKD a try! If you or yours are new to Martial Arts, don’t worry. We will guide you along your new journey. We ask that patience is used while learning. For most, all of this is new. Time must be allowed to learn and take in the information. No one is perfect. Do not expect to be. The Dojo is a laboratory; a “perfect world” where we seek to discover how we move and learn to defend ourselves in a safe environment. Safe to make mistakes. Safe to figure out who we are.
At this point choose the days to attend. The sessions do not need to be back to back ( as is implied by the registration dates). Choose those days you know will better fit your schedule to develop a consistent habit of attending. Monday and Wednesday, Tuesday and Thursday, Monday and Thursday, etc. CONSISTENCY IS IMPORTANT TO LEARNING.
Please download the App. This will be a valuable source of information and a method for communication. Use the gym code “KSKD” and create a new user. We recommend using the same email address used to register for the trial. If another email address is desired, contact Sensei Almonte to add more email addresses.
The MyStudio app opens with upcoming Dojo Activities. To find helpful information, see the icon in the bottom menu. The link will lead to rank appropriate information. (Such as Required Reading, General Class Information and Training Videos) Selecting the icon will lead to uniform and other items to purchase. (Do not purchase a uniform now. The correct size needs to be determined.) After the trial, select the icon to register for the desired membership level. (Remember to ask for the Family Discount code for more than one new family member registration.)
That’s it for now! If there are more questions, checkout our Frequently Asked Questions page. Still more questions? Always feel free to reach out by text (502-977-KICK) or email ([email protected]).
This is more than an “activity”. This is an opportunity to develop positive habits. This is a chance to develop strength, confidence, self-control, and the ability to defend yourself. Thank you for joining us on the journey to better understanding of ourselves. It’s not the Destination, but the Journey that is important.
See you in the Dojo!
