Introduction to Kali ($40)

Welcome to the first in a series of workshops. This will be an introduction to the sticks most recognized by Escrima, Arnis and Kali of the Filipino Martial Arts. The workshop focus will be on Largo Mano or Long Range fighting. We plan to cover Solo and Double Baston basics and explore the combat patterns of Five Basic Cuts, Tapi Tapi and Heaven and Earth 6.

The instructor for this workshop is David Cross from Indianapolis. David is an instructor in Jeet Kune Do and Filipino Kali through the Progressive Fighting Systems with over 20 years of martial arts training. In addition, David has a background in Savate Kickboxing, Wrestling, Xingyi, and Tae Kwon Do.

Bring your sticks if you have them. If not, quality sticks will be available for $15. Let us know in advanced if you need baston so we can be sure to have enough on hand. These can be purchased from the KSKD app link (Training Weapons).  The last day to notify me for pairs of sticks purchase is November 11, 2020.
